This article discusses a man who was arrested on 13 different charges. Two of these charges included identity theft and access to government computers to defraud. Investigators believe he was using a different name in different states to commit crimes.

Multiple artists including Justin Bieber, Drake, and Eminem were hacked on their YouTube channels. There were strange and improperly loaded videos posted by the hacker. A twitter account claimed they were responsible, but the person behind the account is unknown. Many artists have their information and work posted, so it can be accessed at all times.
To prevent this from happening again the security needs to be updated and information needs to be protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentification.

Verizon mobile users reported getting a suspicious text message from themselves. If the users clicked on the link sent in the message it would take them to another site offering a "free gift" or a Russian news website. Verizon confirmed they did not send the messages and stated they came from bad actors. These messages have been blocked by Verizon, and have not had any of their users phones compromised.

Lesson Learned
I learned that there are many issues with Information Security in the news. I also learned that everyone is vulnerable to information security, for example, hacking.
