1. Data collection and use

The App does not collect or share your data automatically. We do not track your activity, usage statistics, or location. The App works entirely offline (locally) on your device.

2. Feedback and diagnostics

Technical data is only transmitted when you explicitly choose to send a diagnostic report or feedback via email.

• Details: If you send a report, the email draft may automatically include technical details (Device model, Android version, App version) and attached local log files. This information is used solely to improve the App and fix bugs. It is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.

• Log retention: Diagnostic logs are stored locally for troubleshooting purposes. They are not sent automatically and are deleted after 7 days.

3. Permissions and usage

To provide its core functionality, the App requires the following permissions:

• Modify system settings (WRITE_SETTINGS): Required to adjust the screen brightness level. Without this permission, the App cannot perform its main function.

• Post notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required on Android 13+ to display a persistent notification indicating that the auto-brightness service is active in the background.

• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Allows the App to restart the brightness service automatically after you reboot your phone.

• Foreground service (SPECIAL_USE): Allows the App to monitor the light sensor continuously in the background to adjust brightness in real-time.

4. Advertising

The App contains no ads. We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking cookies.
