Nebel, a fourth-generation violin maker and internationally renowned restorer trained under Maestro Sacconi at Wurlitzer, has led a decades-long career in fine instrument restoration, sales, and education, serving clients worldwide from his New Jersey studio.
A professional bassist and Fulbright Fellow, she studied with Bernard Millant in Paris, assisted William Salchow for a decade, and has spent over 35 years teaching bow restoration—earning international recognition, top lutherie honors, and a 2011 Lutherie Prize from the International Society of Bassists.
Louis DiLeone (1921–2021), a world-renowned luthier from New Haven, transformed his family’s music store into a respected center for double bass restoration and appraisal, dedicating decades to the craft before retiring in 2018.
