About

Vicar Sujit Kingston

Vicar Sujit Kingston's life journey is inspiring, marked by his deep faith and dedication to serving his community and the church. Born and raised in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu India, within a family of devoted Christian musicians, he grew up in a strong Christian environment. His lineage, tracing back five generations to Rev. D. Canon Koilpillai, who built St. John's Cathedral in Nazareth,Tamilnadu (1928) speaks to the enduring faith tradition in his family.

His educational background in Electrical Engineering, spanning a Diploma and Bachelor's degree from Thanjavur, and a Master's from Malaysia, illustrates his commitment to academic pursuits. He is presently working as a Production Engineer at Daikin Texas Technology Park.  During his 12-year stay in Malaysia, he not only excelled professionally as a project engineer but also remained deeply engaged in church ministries, (worship, teaching, and preaching) with his family.

Vicar Kingston's spiritual journey took root in his teenage years, where his involvement in church ministries, Scripture Union, and Evangelical Union ministries reflected his early dedication to serving others. His passion for the Lord's ministry and his desire to serve the community eventually led him to pursue a Master's in theological studies at Concordia University, USA. Currently, he serves as a Vicar (pastoral intern) at St. Mark Houston, actively contributing to the Tamil ministry within the church.

In addition to his pastoral pursuits, Vicar Kingston's family life is a testament to his values. He is married to Dr. Sheeba Jenifer Sujit, and they are blessed with two children, Sherlin and Shekina. His daughter, Sherlin, is not only pursuing her college education but also actively involved as a worship leader and musician in St. Mark Houston, demonstrating the continuation of the family's musical and spiritual legacy.

Vicar Kingston's commitment to his faith, his family, and his community shines through in his journey from India to Malaysia and now to his current role as a pastoral intern in the Lutheran church. As he prepares to become an Ordained pastor in the Lutheran church of Missouri Synod (LCMS), his life story is a testament to the power of faith, dedication, and service.
