Italian-Argentinian pianist and choral conductor Annalisa Monticelli, is a highly sought after international musician having performed and recorded in Europe, Asia, North and South-America; as a soloist, with chamber vocal and instrumental ensembles and with various Orchestras.
Ms Monticelli studied Piano, Jazz piano, Conducting, Music Education and Chamber Music in Italy, Argentina and the USA with renown musicians such as Bruno Canino, Daniel Rivera, Eugenia Rozental, Cinzia Gizzi and Douglas Weeks among others
She gave her first solo recital at the age of 10 and gained her first piano degree at the age of 16 with maximum marks as all her other degrees. While studying, she won numerous first and second prices in International competitions (Spain, Italy, USA) as a soloist, chamber musician and Chorister-
assistant conductor and participated to numerous international Masterclasses in Europe and
the USA.
In 2014 she moved to Ireland to work as a freelance collaborative pianist and piano teacher, Italian coach and accompanist for the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Since then, she has performed in all Irish major venues around the country, released various compact discs (the latest "A Bluebird Singing" with Soprano Louise Martyn), worked as Italian coach fornumerous Opera productions including the recent INO production of Cenerentola, given piano masterclasses and solo recitals in Johor Baru (Malaysia), accompanied masterclasses for the Institut StimmKünst in Zurich (Switzerland) and began “Azulejos,” a new concert series that focuses on Latin American music. To further her education and follow her passion for Latin-American Music she is undertaking a Ph.D. where her research focuses on Latin American pianists from the 20th century. Over the last few months she performed in Warsaw (Sinfonia Varsovia) and Paris (Centre Culturel Irlandaise) among other major Irish Venues.
Ms Monticelli is currently Programme Director/ Répétiteur at DkIT Dundalk; Conductor of Anam Chamber Choir, DkIT Choir and Lusk Community Choir and Executive Director-Chief Accompanist-Italian Coach for the Bassi Brugnatelli International Symposium.
