This is a redraw of a piece by Yuji Uekawa for the Sonic Channel. As a life long Sonic fan, Uekawa's art style has been a profound inspiration. I did this study of his art style just to see how it would go. I attempted to make it 1:1.

I really enjoyed the aesthetic of Essek Thelyss from Campaign 2 of Critical Role, so I drew him in an ornate set of armor.
