Luna was highly involved in high school. Between clubs, classes, and courts, she was all over the place! Solidifying her name in North Bend's history through numerous different programs. There are way too many to add here, but here are some highlights!
CLUBS
Theater - She was involved in the Drama club all 4 years of high school and has lettered every year. She acted in 5 plays and was the stage crew for 3! She has served as the club's historian for the past two years and President for one!
Yearbook - Luna was the editor-in-chief two years in a row! Dedicating her time to the team and becoming a vital part of the yearbook crew.
Student Council - Luna was elected as Vice President of her senior class. This opened numerous opportunities for her, such as running and planning school assemblies and doing morning announcements every day!
Bulldog Pageant - Luna dedicated her senior year to this fundraising pageant to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital! Overall, she helped in raising over $8,000 for the program!
COURTS AND AWARDS
Junior Homecoming Princess - Luna was elected by her class to serve as the Junior Homecoming Princess, where she was recognized during the homecoming football game!
Miss Flame Court - Her senior year, Luna was elected to be on the Fire Prevention 'Miss Flame Court'. During Flame week she got to ride in a firetruck to school every day and was recognized during the Flame football game!
Luna's been awarded for many skills and achievements, including:
North Bend Poetry Slam, her Sophomore year - 1st place
SWOCC Dramatic reading, her sophomore year - 2nd place. Theater award for the role of Yvette in the production of Clue during her Junior year.
Academic awards in many subjects including: Theater Arts, Chemistry, Biology, Geometry, Algebra, US History, English, Yearbook, and Natural Resource Management
WHATS NEXT?
Luna has been accepted into the University of Oregon and plans to major in Biology there. She has gotten several scholarships from them, resulting in a full-ride! She has also been offered admission to their honors college and plans to be just as, if not more, involved in the student life and clubs at the University of Oregon.
