My name is Cynthia Luna, and I will be your online instructor for English 120/020. I am so excited to get to walk this writing journey with you!
In English 120, we will learn about the academic writing process, practice paragraph and essay structures, and learn useful grammatical concepts. We will also have a 1 unit support course integrated within our Canvas classroom.
I am excited to embark on this journey of academic and personal discovery with all of you. Remember, this classroom is one of exchange, and we will be sharing and learning from one another, so I hope that we all be active and respectful participants in our classroom. 😊

Please reach out to me with any questions or needs you may have. I have open office hours via zoom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9am to 11am PST. You can ask questions about the course on the Ask Prof. L board, and I am available via email or Canvas messaging throughout the week. I typically answer emails within a few hours, but I do take weekends off to by with my family, so please keep that in mind when contacting me on weekends or holidays. My goal is to return grades within 2 days of the due date or sooner. I will be active on the discussion boards and aim to respond to all first responses but may not respond to each person, but I will be reading all of your thoughts and ideas. 😊
