Batteries can help the controller last way longer and if you don't want to pay for batteries constantly then buy some rechargeable AA batteries and switch them out. This way you don't have to wait for your controller to charge, start another controller that's not your favorite, or replace the controller when the batteries won't hold a charge anyone.
This next part isn't really part of the response just something I would like to put out there. If you buying a TV and you don't have a gaming console but you would like to play games then get a Fire TV then you don't have to pay extra for a console. With the Fire TV there isn't just games to play there's other app that you can watch/stream you favorite movies or music.
The controller also bluetooth, cord, and WiFi connectivity so you have options and features that a lot or another controllers don't have.

Yes, the Luna Controller works over Bluetooth and USB with Windows PC’s and Mac. Some customers were having issues with remapping buttons on Steam and there was recently an update to fix the button mapping bug.
