This Privacy Policy explains how Lumo (“the App”), developed by Aniket Narvankar (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the Android app Lumo (package name: com.lumo.puzzles).
By using Lumo, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Summary
Lumo is designed to work primarily on your device:
• Puzzle progress, streaks, settings, and profile display name are stored locally on your device. • We do not require you to create an account. • We do not operate our own cloud login or cloud backup in the current version. • The App shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising-related data as described by Google. • The App may use local notifications (with your permission) for optional daily reminders. • You may optionally share results using your device’s system share sheet.
3. Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use Lumo, the App may store on your device:
• Game progress — for example completed puzzles, daily sets, and timers — so you can continue playing. • Streaks and stats — for example daily streak, best streak, puzzles solved, and hints used — for profile and habit features. • Preferences — for example dark mode, how-to “seen” flags, and reminder preference — for app settings. • Profile display — for example the default name “Player” (and any name you set later) — for the profile screen. • Temporary files — for example short-lived share images when you choose Share — only for sharing results.
This information stays on your device unless you choose to share something yourself (for example via WhatsApp, Messages, or another app).
We do not receive a copy of your local puzzle progress on our own servers, because Lumo does not currently sync progress to a developer-operated cloud service.
4. Information collected by advertising (Google AdMob)
Lumo uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show:
• Banner ads on some non-puzzle screens • Occasional interstitial ads between levels (with limits) • Optional rewarded ads when you choose to watch a video for extra hints
Google AdMob and its partners may collect or process information such as:
• Device and advertising identifiers (for example Advertising ID) • IP address and general location derived from IP • Device information (model, OS version, app version) • Ad interaction and performance data • Diagnostic information related to ad serving
This data may be used to:
• Serve and measure ads • Limit how often you see the same ad • Personalize ads (where allowed by law and your device settings) • Detect fraud and improve ad services

You can often reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings (Android → Privacy / Google → Ads).
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Lumo may schedule local reminders on your device (for example an evening reminder to keep your streak).
• These reminders are scheduled on your device. • You can disable notifications in system settings or by changing in-app reminder settings (where available). • We do not use notifications to send marketing messages from our own servers in the current version.
6. Sharing features
If you tap Share, Lumo may create a result card or text and open your device’s system share sheet. What you share, and with whom, is controlled by you and the app you choose (for example messaging or social apps). Those apps have their own privacy policies.
7. Purchases (future)
Zen Mode and Lumo Pro are marked Coming soon and are not sold in the current release.
If paid features are added later, purchases may be processed by Google Play. We will update this Privacy Policy before enabling paid features. Google’s payment handling is described in Google Play’s terms and privacy policy.
8. Children’s privacy
Lumo is a family-friendly puzzle app that parents may use with children. The current version:
• Does not require creating an account • Does not include chat, social feeds, or user-generated public content • Does include advertising via Google AdMob
Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of the App. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child in a way that is not appropriate, contact us at aniket08485786@gmail.com and we will help address it.
We design Lumo as a general-audience / family puzzle experience and rely on Google’s ad systems and your device settings for advertising controls.
9. Data retention and deletion
• On-device data: Cleared when you clear the App’s storage or uninstall Lumo. • Ad data: Retained by Google according to Google’s policies. • No developer cloud account: Because we do not host your puzzle progress on our servers, there is no cloud profile for us to delete. Uninstalling the App removes local progress on that device.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps appropriate for a local-first app. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Please keep your device updated and protected.
Ads and network requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS) where provided by Google’s SDKs.
11. Third-party services
• Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads — used for advertising. • Google Play — used for app install and updates. • Device share targets (optional) — used only when you choose to share.
Each third party processes data under its own policy.
12. International users
AdMob and Google services may process data on servers outside your country. By using Lumo, you understand that such processing may occur as described in Google’s policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Lumo after an update means you accept the revised policy.
