This Privacy Policy describes how Lumo: LED Banner & Scroller (the "App", "Lumo"), a mobile application for iPhone, handles information when you use it. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to the developer of Lumo, and "you" refers to the person using the App.
We built Lumo to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store on our servers, sell, rent, trade, or share any personal data. The App has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. This policy explains in detail what the App does with the information it needs to function, so you can make informed choices.
By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
Personal data collected by us: none.
Account or sign-in required: no.
Advertising, analytics or tracking: none.
Where your content is stored: only on your device, inside the App's private storage.
Data sold or shared with third parties: never.
Payments: handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
App Store privacy label: "Data Not Collected".
This policy applies only to the Lumo App distributed through Apple's App Store and to this privacy page. It does not apply to Apple's services (such as the App Store, iCloud or Photos), to other apps you choose to share content with, or to any website we link to. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
To be completely clear, the App does not collect, access, or transmit any of the following:
Your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or any other contact information (unless you choose to email us — see Section 10).
Precise or approximate location.
Contacts, calendars, messages, or browsing history.
Camera or microphone input.
Health, fitness, financial, or payment information.
Device identifiers used for advertising (IDFA) or any other identifier used to track you.
Usage data, analytics events, or product interaction data.
Crash logs or diagnostics sent to our own servers.
The App does not include any third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, attribution, crash reporting, social login, or tracking. We do not operate any server that receives information from the App, and the App does not make network requests to us.
To provide its features, the App saves certain information locally on your device. This information stays in the App's private, sandboxed storage, which other apps cannot access, and is never uploaded to us.
Boards: the text you type and the style you choose for each board, such as colors, font, size, scrolling speed and direction, effects, frames, and backgrounds.
Sequences: the lists of boards you group together to play one after another, including their order and timing.
Background photos: if you choose a photo as a board background, a copy of that single photo is saved in the App's private storage so the board can display it later.
Whether you have completed the onboarding screens.
Your default style for new boards and your Quick Show color.
Display preferences, such as the "Max brightness" option.
Your preferred export quality for GIFs and videos.
Please be aware that the text you type on a board is entirely under your control. We recommend that you do not enter sensitive personal information (such as passwords or financial details) into boards, especially if you plan to display them in public or share exports.
The App only requests a permission when you use a feature that needs it. You can grant or deny each permission, and you can change your choice at any time in the iOS Settings app. Denying a permission only disables the related feature; the rest of the App continues to work.
When you choose a background photo, the App uses Apple's system photo picker. The picker runs outside the App, so the App receives only the photo you select and cannot see, browse, or read the rest of your photo library. No "full photo library access" permission is requested for this.
When you export a board as a GIF or video and choose to save it, iOS may ask for permission to add items to your Photos library. This is an "add only" permission: it allows the App to save new files, but it does not allow the App to view, read, edit, or delete any existing photos or videos.
After you save a board, the App may offer to turn on reminders. If you agree, iOS will ask for permission to show notifications. Any notifications are local notifications created and delivered on your device; no notification content, token, or schedule is sent to us or to any push notification server. You can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Notifications.
While a board is playing, the App may keep the screen from turning off and, if you enable "Max brightness", temporarily raise the screen brightness. The App restores your original brightness when playback ends. These settings are applied only on your device and are not recorded or shared.
When you export a board as a GIF or video, the file is rendered on your device. A temporary copy is created in the App's temporary folder so it can be saved or shared, and iOS may clear that folder automatically.
When you use the iOS share sheet — to share a board's text, an exported GIF or video, or a link to the App — the content is sent only to the app or service you pick (for example Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or a social network). We do not receive a copy, and that recipient's own privacy policy applies to anything you share.
Exports made without Lumo Pro may include a small watermark. The watermark contains no personal information.
Lumo offers optional paid features ("Lumo Pro"), available as an auto-renewable yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework.
We never receive your name, Apple ID, email address, credit card number, billing address, or any other payment details.
To unlock Pro features, the App asks Apple on your device whether you have an active Pro purchase. Apple returns a verified transaction for the Lumo product only, and the App uses it solely to decide whether Pro features are unlocked.
"Restore Purchases" asks the App Store to re-sync your existing purchases to your device. This happens between your device and Apple.
Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Apple's handling of your purchase information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
If you choose to rate the App from its Settings screen, the App uses Apple's standard in-app rating prompt. Your rating and any review are submitted directly to Apple and displayed on the App Store according to Apple's terms. We do not receive any personal information about who left a rating.
The App writes short technical messages to the on-device system log to help with troubleshooting (for example, if saving a board fails). These messages stay on your device and are not sent to us.
If you have turned on "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymized crash reports and usage statistics with us through App Store Connect. This is controlled entirely by Apple and by your iOS settings; the information is aggregated and does not identify you. You can turn it off at any time.
The App includes a "Contact support" option in Settings that opens your email app with a message addressed to suntechglobal79@gmail.com. If no email app is available, the App copies our support address to your clipboard so you can paste it yourself.
If you email us, we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message (for example, a description of a problem or a screenshot). We use this information only to read and respond to your request. We do not add you to any mailing list, do not use it for marketing, and do not share it with anyone. We keep support emails only as long as needed to resolve your request, and you may ask us to delete them at any time.
The only third party involved in operating the App is Apple Inc., which provides the App Store, in-app purchase processing, the system photo picker, notifications, the share sheet, and the in-app rating prompt. The App does not integrate any other third-party service. Links in the App (such as the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy, or the App Store page) open in your browser or the App Store and are governed by those sites' own policies.
Because all of your content is stored on your device, you are in full control of it:
Delete an individual board or sequence from within the App.
Delete everything at once in the App's Settings → Data → Delete all boards & sequences.
Uninstall the App to remove all of its data, including boards, sequences, background photos, and preferences, from your device.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, iOS may include the App's data in those backups as part of its normal operation. These backups are managed by Apple or by you, not by us, and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Your content is protected by the iOS app sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading the App's data, and by the data protection and encryption features built into iOS when your device is locked with a passcode. Because we do not collect or transmit your data, there is no copy of it on our side that could be exposed in a data breach. Please keep your device secured with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), or similar laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to object or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Because we do not collect or hold personal data from the App, we generally have no personal data about you to access, correct, export, or delete. Your content can be managed directly on your device as described in Section 12. If you have emailed us and would like a copy or deletion of that correspondence, or if you have any other privacy request, contact us at suntechglobal79@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising or profiling.
Lumo is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically at children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Since the App does not collect personal data, it can be used without sharing any information with us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, please contact us at suntechglobal79@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
Lumo is available in many countries. Because your content stays on your device and is not transferred to us, using the App does not involve any international transfer of your personal data by us. Apple may process purchase information in accordance with its own policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in legal requirements. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If a change significantly affects how information is handled — for example, if a future version of the App begins to collect any data — we will update this policy before that version is released and, where required, ask for your consent. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your privacy while using Lumo, please contact us:

We aim to respond to all inquiries within a reasonable time, and no later than 30 days.
