Lumiz Edge Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Lumiz Edge handles information.

What the App does

Lumiz Edge is a customization app. It shows clock designs as an always-on lock-screen display, draws edge lighting, and can show music that is already playing on the device. Settings stay on the device. The App does not create user accounts and does not ask you to sign in.

Information stored on your device

The App saves your choices locally with the device’s app storage. That includes clock and edge-light designs, colors, brightness, onboarding status, daily-save counts, and whether overlay permission has been granted. This information is used only to run the features you turn on. It is not uploaded as a profile.

If you use the music display, the App reads the current track title, artist, and playback state from the phone’s media session so it can show them on the clock and send play, pause, and skip commands to the music app. That information is shown on the device. The App does not build a listening history and does not send song titles to our servers.

Permissions

The App asks for access only so the features you enable can run.

Display over other apps. Shows the always-on clock and edge lighting on top of the lock screen.

Notification access. Detects incoming notifications so edge lighting can react. The listener is not used to read or store the text of your messages.

Notifications. Shows the ongoing notice required while the always-on display service is running.

Phone state. Detects calls so the overlay can pause during a call.

Run at startup, wake lock, and battery optimization exemption. Keeps a display you turned on available after reboot and while the screen is idle.

Internet. Loads ads, analytics, and remote configuration.

You can revoke these in Android settings. Features that depend on a permission will stop working until you grant it again.

Advertising

The App shows Google AdMob ads. These include banners, full-screen ads between actions, and ads when the App opens. Some saves after a daily free allowance ask you to watch an ad.

Google and its partners may collect device and usage data to serve and measure ads, including an advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location derived from IP, and interactions with ads. You can limit ad personalization in your device’s Google ads settings.

Analytics and remote configuration

The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config, both operated by Google.

Analytics records how the App is used: screens you open, clock and edge-light choices, whether features are turned on or off, and whether ads load, show, or fail. Events can include a screen name, clock or style id, a setting name and value, brightness, and an ad error code. They do not include your name, email, contacts, photos, or notification contents.

Remote Config downloads settings such as whether ads are shown and which ad units to use. Firebase may process an app instance identifier and device information as described in Google’s privacy policy.

What we do not collect

The App does not ask for an account, name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or payment card details. There are no in-app purchases in this version. We do not sell personal information.

Children

Lumiz Edge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will delete what we control.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. Information is processed by Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Remote Config) as described above, and by Android when you grant a system permission. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Retention

Choices stored on the device remain until you clear the App’s data, uninstall the App, or change the setting. Analytics and advertising data are kept by Google under their own retention rules. We do not keep a separate copy of your designs on our servers.

Your choices

Turn off or limit personalized ads in Android’s Google settings.

Deny or revoke overlay, notification, phone, and notification-listener access in system settings.

Clear the App’s storage or uninstall it to remove local settings.

International use

Google may process data in the United States and other countries where it operates. By using the App you understand that this processing happens under Google’s terms and this policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the App after the new date means you accept the updated policy.
