Lumie ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and handled when you use the Lumie: Postpartum Calm mobile application ("Lumie" or the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Subscription Information

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through Apple and the App Store.

Apple may process information related to your subscription status, purchase history, transaction identifiers, and purchase receipts in order to process and manage purchases.

We do not receive or store your credit card, debit card, banking information, or other payment information. 

App Preferences and Affirmation Data

Lumie does not require you to create an account.

Information such as your affirmation preferences, selected categories, notification settings, favorites, and other personalization settings may be stored locally on your device.

Unless otherwise stated within the App, this information is not uploaded to our servers.

Notifications

If you choose to enable notifications, Lumie will request permission through your device's notification system.

We use notification permission to send affirmation reminders and other notifications you have chosen to receive.

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Technical and Subscription Information

Apple may process limited technical and transaction-related information necessary to provide App Store purchases and subscription functionality. This may include subscription status, purchase history, transaction identifiers, purchase receipts, App Store environment information, and related subscription identifiers.

We do not use this information for targeted advertising. 

2. How We Use Information

We may use information associated with Lumie to:

- Provide and personalize the App experience

- Deliver affirmation reminders and notifications

- Manage subscriptions and restore purchases

- Maintain the security and proper operation of Lumie

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

Lumie relies on Apple for App Store distribution, payment processing, subscription management, and platform services.

Apple may process information according to its own privacy policies and applicable data-protection requirements.

We do not authorize third-party service providers processing information on our behalf to use information received through Lumie for their own targeted advertising or marketing purposes. Where applicable, such service providers are required to protect information in accordance with applicable law and their contractual obligations. 

4. Data Storage and Retention

Lumie does not require a user account.

App preferences and personalization information stored locally remain on your device until they are removed by you, reset within the App where available, or deleted when the App is uninstalled.

Subscription and transaction information may be retained by Apple according to its privacy policies, retention practices, and legal obligations. Because Lumie does not maintain user accounts or server-side profiles containing your locally stored affirmation preferences or personalization data, we generally do not hold that local content on our servers. 

5. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information associated with you, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion.

You can also control certain information directly through your device:

- Notifications: You can disable notifications through your device settings.

- Local App Data: You can delete locally stored App information by uninstalling Lumie, unless another deletion option is provided within the App.

- Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account.

6. Sensitive Information and Health Disclaimer

Lumie is designed to provide affirmations, emotional encouragement, and general wellness support for mothers during the postpartum period.

Lumie is not a medical service and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical, psychological, or mental-health condition.

The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or emergency care.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical or mental-health concerns and before making decisions about your health or treatment. 

We do not intentionally require users to provide medical records, diagnoses, or other sensitive health information in order to use Lumie.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, seek immediate assistance from qualified healthcare professionals or emergency services.

7. Children's Privacy

Lumie is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Lumie against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. International Data Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you live.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate measures may be used to protect information transferred internationally.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Lumie develops or as our legal, technical, or business practices change.

When we make changes, we will update the Effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
