LumaFilm is a film-style camera app that lets you take photos, record videos, and apply filters. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
In short: LumaFilm does not collect, store, or share any personal data on our servers. We do not have user accounts, and we do not track you. All photos, videos, and filtering happen entirely on your device.
Information We Access
LumaFilm only uses the following device features, and only on your device:
Camera to show the live preview and capture photos and videos with filters. Camera content is processed locally in real time and is not transmitted anywhere.
Microphone used only while you are recording a video, to include audio in that video. Audio is never recorded or used outside of video capture.
Photo Library to save your photos and videos (into a "LumaFilm" album) and to display them inside the App's Library. We only access your library to read and write your own media at your request.
We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, device identifiers for tracking, or usage analytics.
How Your Content Is Stored
Photos and videos you capture are saved to your device's photo library, which you fully control. The App does not upload your photos, videos, or audio to any server or third party. We do not retain copies of your content; it stays on your device.
Data Retention Policy
Because LumaFilm does not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. All media files reside exclusively on your device. You may delete any LumaFilm photos or videos at any time through your device's Photos app or through the LumaFilm Library. Uninstalling the App does not delete photos already saved to your photo library.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to share. If you use the system Share feature inside the App, your content is handed to the destination you choose (e.g., Messages, Instagram, Mail). That sharing is governed by the privacy policy of the app or service you select.
Permissions and Your Control
You can grant or revoke Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library permissions at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security (or Settings > LumaFilm) on your device. Revoking a permission may disable related features (for example, you cannot take photos without camera access).
Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Other Regulations)
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. Because LumaFilm does not collect or process any personal data on its servers, most of these rights are not practically applicable. However, we outline them below for full transparency:
Right to Access You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you. We hold none.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten") You may request deletion of your personal data. We hold none on our servers.
Right to Data Portability You may request a copy of your data in a portable format. We have no data to provide.
Right to Object You may object to certain types of data processing. We conduct no such processing.
For EU/EEA residents (GDPR): Our lawful basis for accessing device features is your explicit consent, granted through the iOS/Android permission dialog. You may withdraw consent at any time via device settings.
For California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share your personal information. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information. None of these rights are triggered because we collect no such data.

Children's Privacy
LumaFilm is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect personal data, no such information is gathered from any user of any age.
Security
Your content never leaves your device through the App, which significantly minimizes data exposure. Your device's own security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.) protects the photos and videos stored on it. Because we collect no personal data, we face no risk of server-side data breaches affecting your personal information.
Third-Party Services
The current version of LumaFilm does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The App does not integrate with any third-party service that could collect your data. If a future version adds advertising or analytics, this Privacy Policy will be updated before the feature is released.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the App or App Store release notes.
