This Privacy Policy explains how Lullaby ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Lullaby lets you play sleep sounds, white noise, nature ambiences, lullabies and guided meditations, create your own sound mixes, use a sleep timer, and keep a private sleep journal. You can use the App without creating an account or providing any personal identity information.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require you to register or provide personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number to use Lullaby. However, some information is stored on your device, and some is collected automatically by the third-party services we rely on, as described below.

a) Information stored on your device

The following information is stored only in the App's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, it is not synced to any cloud account, and it is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App:

Custom mixes — the sound combinations you create in the App.
Playback state — the last sound or mix you played and its playback position, so the App can resume where you left off.
Listening activity — the total playback duration per calendar day, used for the "last night" summary and listening streak shown in the App.
Sleep journal — the optional nightly sleep-quality rating (1–5) and free-text note you choose to write.
Downloaded audio files — sounds you download for offline playback.
App settings — theme, language, default sleep timer, fade-in/fade-out, reminder times, Wi-Fi-only downloads, mini-player and similar preferences.

b) Information collected automatically

When you use the App, certain technical data may be collected automatically, including device model, operating system version, language, approximate region, IP address, advertising identifier, crash and diagnostic logs, and interactions within the App.

This data is collected primarily through the third-party advertising and analytics services described in Section 4, and is used to keep the App running, improve stability, and display advertising.

c) Sound library and downloads

The sound catalog and audio files are delivered from our content-delivery network. When the App loads the catalog or downloads a sound, your device connects to that hosting provider, which processes standard technical request data such as your IP address, device type, the requested file and a timestamp in order to deliver the content and protect the service against abuse. We do not use this data to identify you and we do not build user profiles from it.

d) Purchases

If you purchase the ad-free / premium upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive only a purchase token and entitlement status so the App can unlock your purchase and restore it later. We never receive or store your payment card, bank or billing details.

2. Sleep Journal and Wellness Information

Your sleep-quality ratings, notes and listening statistics stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us, never shared with advertising or analytics providers, and never used to personalize ads.

Lullaby is a relaxation and sleep-sound app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or advice. If you have concerns about your sleep or your health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

3. How We Use Information

To provide, operate and maintain the App and its core playback, mixing, sleep-timer and meditation features.
To remember your mixes, journal entries, playback position and preferences on your device.
To deliver the sound catalog and the audio files you play or download.
To show the bedtime reminders and playback notifications you enable.
To display and measure advertising that supports the free version of the App.
To verify and restore in-app purchases.
To understand how the App is used, diagnose crashes, and improve performance and reliability.
To detect, prevent and address technical issues, fraud or abuse.

4. Third-Party Services

Lullaby uses trusted third-party services that may collect information as described in their own privacy policies. These include:

Google AdMob (advertising) — the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process data such as IP address, advertising identifier, device identifiers and user interactions to serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud. Google Analytics for Firebase (analytics) — collects anonymized usage and diagnostic data to help us understand app performance and user behavior. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting) — collects crash stack traces and device state at the time of a crash so we can fix problems. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
Google Play Billing (in-app purchases) — processes your purchase of the ad-free / premium upgrade. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Our content-delivery / hosting provider — serves the sound catalog and audio files, as described in Section 1(c).

We do not sell your personal information. Information shared with these providers is governed by their respective privacy policies.

5. Permissions the App Requests

Internet and network state — to load the sound catalog, stream or download sounds, and serve ads.
Notifications — to show playback controls and the bedtime reminders you enable.
Foreground service (media playback) and wake lock — to keep audio playing reliably while your screen is off.
Alarms & reminders and run at startup — to deliver your bedtime reminder at the time you chose, including after your device restarts.
Ignore battery optimizations (optional) — only if you choose to grant it, so long playback sessions and reminders are not interrupted by the system.

Lullaby does not request access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts, call logs, SMS, or your personal photo and media library.

6. Advertising and Your Choices

The free version of the App is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob.

You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads, where you may reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads. You can also remove ads entirely through the in-app purchase available in the App.

7. Consent for Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we (through Google's consent management platform) will ask for your consent before using personal data such as your advertising ID for personalized advertising, in line with the EU User Consent Policy, the GDPR, and the ePrivacy Directive. You may choose to receive non-personalized ads instead, and you can change your choice later in the App's settings where available.

8. Data Retention

Mixes, journal entries, statistics, downloaded sounds and preferences remain on your device until you delete them in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. Data processed by third-party services (such as advertising, analytics and crash-reporting data) is retained according to those providers' own retention policies.

9. Children's Privacy

Lullaby includes lullabies and calming sounds that a parent or caregiver may play for a child, but the App itself is intended to be installed and operated by adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App, and data transferred between the App and our content-delivery provider is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights and How to Delete Your Data

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the App does not maintain a personal account for you, virtually all of your data can be removed directly on your device:

Delete individual mixes, downloaded sounds or journal entries inside the App.
Or clear everything at once via Settings → Apps → Lullaby → Storage → Clear storage, or by uninstalling the App.

For requests related to data held by third-party providers, please refer to their privacy policies, or contact us and we will assist where we can.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
