You can help us raise the next $50,000 for urgent housing needs in the community
Our Mission
To provide housing that people can afford that supports health, wellness and community.
Our Goal
Donations will cover upfront costs and help us obtain mortgaging for a small apartment building based on the Luke’s Place Kingston housing model (pictured).
Current progress:
We are actively looking for a property that will be the right fit for LPK
We have hired a consultant who is experienced in working with non-profits to plan & develop housing
We have been meeting with representatives of all three levels of government & Kingston's community leaders to keep them up-to-date with positive developments as we progress towards our goal
Why Donate to LPK?
People who have an intellectual disability are often face loneliness, discrimination from others and experience barriers to obtaining affordable housing.
Individuals who are reliant on the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) income supports receive only $522 per month for their housing allowance.
Obtaining stable, safe, affordable housing is an important step towards people being able to share their gifts and talents with the community.
Community Living Kingston and District is committed to providing supports to the tenants of Luke's Place Kingston who are connected to their agency. Learn more at www.myclkd.ca.
We know that communities can come together to support a common goal of providing a better life to disadvantaged members of our community.
This campaign presents an opportunity to do just that.
Support us in our mission to provide housing that people can afford that supports health, wellness and community
