I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Shannon School of Business, Cape Breton University. I have received a PhD and an MSc degree in Financial Accounting from Queen's University, as well as MBA and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Carleton University.

My research interests include non-GAAP reporting, disclosure, governance and capital markets. My research has been presented at the Financial Accounting and Reporting Midyear Meeting (FARS), the International Accounting Section Midyear Meeting (IAS), the AAA/Deloitte/J. Michael Cook Doctoral Consortium, the Hawai'i Accounting Research Conference (HARC), the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) Annual Meeting, the European Accounting Association Annual Congress (EAA), and the American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meeting.
