Currently, I am a Research Fellow at Monash University.
My research lies at the intersection of political economy and development, with a focus on topics such as migration and development, foreign aid, events and news, public perceptions, and conflict.
I primarily work with large datasets, spatial data, and applied econometric methods, aiming to contribute both to academic discourse and to policy debates.
I hold a PhD from the University of Göttingen and a Master's degree in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Before, I studied Economics at the Universities of Bayreuth, Bordeaux, and São Paulo.
My work has been published in the American Journal of Political Science and Economic Development and Cultural Change.
