Latino entrepreneur, student, educator & trainee in life. Luis is an advocate for education and social causes. He is convinced of the power of Gen Z members to create a better society and turn chaos into peace. As a low-income and first-generation student Luis is committed to being the bridge between opportunities and teenagers from underprivileged backgrounds.
Selected as one of the 34 Global Teen Leaders' in the Three Dot Dash Program, by We Are Family Foundation. This cohort represents teenagers from 23 countries and 5 continents, chosen from +500 applications for their social good innovations, and promise for a more just, equitable, and peaceful future.
Recognized as one of the twenty finalists, from over 100 applicants, in the social innovation competition in Peru: Protagonists of change by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences.
Selected as Young Challenger by The Grameen Creative Lab (GCL), founded by Nobel Peace Prize Muhammad Yunus. Got one of the 40 full scholarships to pitch a business idea in Italy out of 200 applicants.
This essay was submitted in response to the question “What do students need now?”
Along with my fellow speakers from over 30 countries around the globe, our goal is to inspire & encourage students, families and educators as they return to a new season of learning.
This is a special episode with regards to my growth as a person and how I continually hope to create a better world.
