Design and deliver the full undergraduate module covering global financial markets, monetary systems, asset pricing, and risk management. The course integrates structured Bloomberg Terminal training and Python-based financial data collection (Yahoo Finance and LSEG APIs), enabling students to perform cross-country empirical analysis and apply market theory to real data.
In parallel, I am developing a structured cross-country financial database (country, index, and firm-level) designed as a long-term teaching and research resource within the Business School.
Develops practical skills in implementing financial and econometric models for valuation and forecasting. Students apply regression and portfolio techniques using EViews and Excel, linking quantitative results to real-world investment and risk decisions.
Introduces derivative instruments and their role in risk management. The module covers option pricing, hedging strategies, and the Greeks, with emphasis on intuition and application to current market data.
Examines portfolio construction, diversification, and performance evaluation. Students learn to apply mean–variance optimisation and risk-return analysis to build efficient portfolios and assess investment strategies.
Explores corporate-level financial decisions, including capital structure, dividend policy, and cost of capital. The module integrates case studies on sustainability and governance to connect theory with corporate practice.
Provides an overview of financial-risk sources and measurement techniques such as Value-at-Risk (VaR) and Expected Shortfall. Students analyse Basel III requirements and learn how stress-testing frameworks are applied within modern financial institutions.
Across my teaching, I emphasise analytical clarity, empirical rigour, and practical engagement. Whether through econometric modelling, derivative pricing, or financial risk measurement, I aim to equip students with tools that are both academically grounded and professionally relevant.
I value diversity and inclusion as essential to collaborative learning, ensuring that every student feels heard and able to contribute their perspective.
