Now that I had given Harry a little background on who exactly He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named was, Harry was ready to face him! From the constant reassurance of my sister and I and the assistance of our parent to Harry, he knew that he had the power to face the dark lord and make the world a better place once again and he could not miss such an opportunity. Harry would not only have to destroy the dark lord but his snake Nagini too, which was a Horcrux (Voldemort placed his soul into her). This would take great strength that Harry was worried his wand would not be able to handle.
My sister and I were terribly worried for Harry and offered any type of help that he could possibly need. For the next couple of weeks, we spent every day after school with Harry teaching him archery in the forest right by Hagrid's house. We also spent the time teaching him how to use Mantras while he was shooting to get assistance from the Hindu gods.
"This is amazing," exclaimed Harry. "It's almost more epic than magic itself."
We giggled and explained that a mantra is essentially magic, but quickly got back to work for the time was ticking quicker than we had imagined. An important Mantra that we had taught him was Om; it was a spiritual sound made to project and acknowledge universal powers in Hinduism.
One morning we had all woken to the windows shaking and a terrible storm brewing. The halls howled from the wind and the clouds looked almost angry. I knew something was terribly wrong and I grabbed my sister and in a hurry, we went looking for Harry. Running down the halls we ran into him.
"This weather has me feeling ill and uneasy about today," Harry remarked.
"Harry, I believe something or someone evil is in the presence of us," said my sister. Harry and the two of us turned our heads and outside the window, we saw a tall dark figure accompanied by many dark cloaked figures approach the castle. The three of us stood mesmerized, unsure if fear or excitement was filling our bodies. Probably a little bit of both.
In relief, we remembered that our professors and headmaster has a constant spell cast over the castle to protect the students from any dark magic to enter and potentially harm us. We watched the evil wizards all try to break this powerful spell and thankfully they were unable to. With the stroke of his wand, the dark lord was able to instantly break the spell. As they entered, the evil wizards destroyed everything in their path as if it were a game. They were quickly stopped by a few professors, one of which was Professor McGonagall.
"Where is the boy who dares to challenge me?" Voldemort screamed! McGonagall acted as if she had not a clue who he was talking about.
"I am unsure who you speak of," she responded.
"I will kill every last one of you if you do not bring me to him," he responded.
We all stood watching behind windows and I could tell Harry was getting terrified.
"I knew that I knew who he was, but how does he know who I am?" Harry asked.
I explained to Harry that Voldemort has this psychic power in which anyone who posed a threat to him needed to be defeated. One of the dark-cloaked members sensed our presence and all eyes turned to us.
Voldemort began walking towards us and in unison, my sister and I prayed to Lord Vishnu to protect us all. He looked Harry right in the eyes and demanded he battles him. We knew Harry was ready and protected by our gods. Their battle began sooner rather than later and Harry was struggling. His arrows were not hitting the dark lord and his spells didn't seem to be strong enough. My sister and I were looking for Nagini so we could kill her; helping Harry as quickly as we could. We found Nagini in an underground tunnel and slashed her in half with the head of an arrow as our parents had taught us. With her death, Voldemort got weaker and Harry got stronger. In this quick chance of weakness Harry was able to shoot the arrow right at the dark lord's head. His body evaporated as dust.
Author's Note. I based this story on the Ramayana tales in which Rama and Ravana battle. Initially, Rama was going to the city of Lanka to save Sita, who was captured by Ravana, and to destroy him. In my story, in this battle, Voldemort is the reincarnation of Ravana and he is coming to the school of Hogwarts to destroy Harry a.k.a Rama. To make a better connection between the original Indian epic and the story of Harry Potter I had to make a few adjustments to Voldemort's death. By Harry shooting Voldemort in the head with an arrow, this incorporates the story of the Ramayana and his snake Nagini had half of his soul to resemble Harry Potter. Also in the original story, Hanuman helped Rama defeat Ravana, but in my version, I had Parvati and her sister help Harry.
