Visits
Our institutional visits bring students into leading organisations addressing the global challenges at the core of the LUC curriculum. Students engage with international courts and tribunals, governmental bodies, European Union institutions, diplomatic missions, financial and development institutions, research institutes, and non-governmental organisations. Through these visits, they gain first-hand insight into how academic knowledge is translated into action.

Our speaker events bring senior decision-makers and leading practitioners to LUC, offering students direct insight into high-level international governance and policy-making. Past speakers include Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, former Secretary General of NATO, and Judge Iulia Motoc of the International Criminal Court. These events deepen students’ understanding of the strategic considerations and institutional realities that shape global decision-making.Â

Trips
Our trips extend the experience beyond a single visit. Students have the opportunity to travel to other cities and spend several days visiting leading organisations in fields such as international cooperation, policymaking, and research. Experiencing these institutions within their local context allows for a deeper understanding of the role different cities play in shaping international initiatives and policy discussions. Throughout the trip, students connect with practitioners and experts working in these fields, gaining insight into potential career paths.
