# Privacy Policy — Fortune Cookie Lottery

Fortune Cookie Lottery ("the app") is developed by aiworkisleep. This policy
explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short:
**the app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, and it
has no user accounts, ads, or analytics.**
## What the app does
The app lets you read the lucky numbers off a fortune cookie slip (or type them
in), save them, and check them against past Powerball and Mega Millions winning
numbers. It can notify you if a saved set matches a draw.
## Information stored on your device
The app stores the following **only on your device**, in its private app
storage. None of it is uploaded, transmitted, or shared:
- The number sets you save (scanned or entered manually) and optional labels.
- Records of matches found and a log of when you tap "I played this."
- A local cache of public Powerball and Mega Millions winning numbers.
- Your in-app settings (e.g. match threshold and look-back window).
You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the app's storage or
uninstalling the app.
## Camera
If you choose to scan a slip, the app uses your camera and recognizes text
**entirely on your device** using on-device text recognition (Google ML Kit,
bundled in the app). Camera images are processed in memory to extract numbers
and are **not saved, uploaded, or shared**. Only the recognized numbers are kept
(on your device). The camera is optional — manual entry works without it.
## Network access
The app connects to the public **New York State Open Data** service
(`data.ny.gov`) solely to download historical Powerball and Mega Millions
winning numbers. These are **outbound requests for public data only** — the app
does not send any of your information, your saved numbers, or any identifier to
this service or anywhere else.
## Notifications
With your permission, the app shows local notifications when a saved set matches
a recent draw. These notifications are generated on your device.
## Information shared with third parties
**None.** The app contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no
third-party services that receive your data.
## Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including
children.
## Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new
"Last updated" date.
