Captain Scott Chin

I'm Captain Scott Chin. I live in Barnegat and own a Robalo R242 named Lucky Dragon. I grew up on Long Island, NY where I bought my first boat at 14 with lawn mowing money! I spent a lot of time on the water fishing and crabbing from Long Beach, NY to Montauk, NY.  I have also lived in Cape Cod and Connecticut where I spent a lot of time fishing for Stripers, Bluefish, and Sharks.

I have been on the water for over 30 years taking friends and family out on fishing adventures. And now I am helping others who enjoy fishing. I decided to start chartering to share my experience and enthusiasm for fishing in the Barnegat Bay.

I am retired and have a great career in technology and business management. From New York City to Hartford, CT I worked for some of the largest Insurance companies in the world. 

I only offer a 4 hour trip because it gives my clients the opportunity to stay on the water longer if the fish are biting or are just having a great time. Most Captains will fill their schedules and must bring clients back to the dock if they are (frequently) overbooked.
