Lucia is derived from the Latin word lux, meaning "light,“ and it’s more than just a name — it’s a calling. It carries the legacy of my mother, whose middle name is Lucia, and who left the familiar comforts of Honduras to give her daughters a life filled with greater opportunity. Through every sacrifice she made, she was a light in our lives, guiding us with faith, courage, and love.

In Scripture, Jesus teaches us to be the light of the world — to let our light shine before others so they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.
