Inter-affine tiles: fragments of a p-adic fractal, a maths and art project

This project was conducted in collaboration with Edmund Harris at the University of Arkansas. The pieces are laser cut wood and the structure of the sculpture is 3D printed. It is an illustration of a rational self-affine related to a number system with base (-1+3i)/2. The printing and cutting was done with the help of Reilly Dickens-Hoffman.
