Having a look to mathematical Art led me to discover the theories of imaginary colours and dimensions. Taking as a reference ‘0=x3yz+x2z2y+5y3z+5yx’ from Bianca Violet (2019), I started developing my own equations with the programme SURFER, which led to a representation of 4th dimensional figures. This was followed by a vast experimentation of colour illusions using a combination of heat press and sprayed dyes. Since the final aim was to represent these concepts in reality; adding a dimension to the physical body, the project turned out to have a more sculptural focus, setting acrylic perplex as the main material due to its translucent faculties. Therefore, the outcomes were heavily based on their shadow qualities, colour layering and, which was not expected, abstract draping with acrylic and fabrics.
