To help with the execution of the data collection process in my study, a tool was created using the Scala and Java language. This tool made possible automatic access to the study subject VCS and bug reporting system. And also, access to a database, for storing and caching information, and connection to the log processing system. This tool allowed us to replicate our experiment with ease, automating several steps in each data collection process.
Our tool has 9 Java Classes and 169 Scala files with almost 11,000 lines of code. Information acquired using the Statistic IntelliJ Plugin.
Currently, the tool is hosted in Github under the MIT License. The tool was made publicly available as a contribution to the researchers willing to study my work. However, it was not created for external use.
