Welcome to Two The Streets!
A sketch podcast/web series created by L Train Productions. This comedy sketch series is comprised of 7 episodes each with a different comic playing the character they portray on and off the stage. After the sketch we sit them down and discuss newsworthy events, debunk conspiracy theories, and heal together while recollecting trauma related memories.
Created by Isaiah Mueller & Adiel Kay
Isaiah Mueller and Adiel Kay met on the streets of New York City in the open mic circuit outside of Old Man Hustle Comedy Club in the Lower East Side. They collaborated on a neo-noir short film called "Get The Comic" inspired by movies like Collateral, Chinatown & Mean Streets. After screening at multiple venues in Brooklyn and Manhattan the film won the Official Selection Hollywood Verge Film Festival 2024. The comedic duo then set out to make a comedy sketch show with a twist. They created a web series/sketch podcast called "Two The Streets."
Louie meets Between Two Ferns
We set out to make a comedy sketch series with half-animation and half-live action in the beating heart of New York City. Two The Streets was an experimental idea of making a sketch for a comedian and having them on the podcast as the character they portray in the sketch which is originally written for them with the thought process of Louie meets Between Two Ferns.
The Two The Streets Universe
Two The Streets was shot in a diverse range of locations including Bushwick, Museum of Ice Cream, Museum of Natural History, Neon Lights Studios, St. Marks Place, The Hamptons, Central Park, Whiskey Cellar Lounge, Fort Wadsworth Staten Island, Washington Square Park, and Times Square. In an expedition to capture all of New York's unique aesthetic and ruggedness we sought to shoot in a variety of locations that would bring out the animation and visual effects to enhance the overall experience of being in the Two The Streets Universe.
Alex Angel
Alex Angel is a Fine Artist based out of Brooklyn, NY who worked on episodes 1 "Magic Van, Man" and 4 "Comedy Fight Club." Alex was able to bring the animation in this web series to life through his unique rotoscope style adding texture layers and visual effect graphics to give the animated characters more of a real life feel while looking like they bleed into the environment they are in.
David D.
We tried to incorporate mutiple different types of animation into the Two The Streets series to make it feel more of a universe. Anime was a style we wanted to add right off the bat in the first episode to give Two The Streets more character and space for exploring the different worlds we were creating from the inception.
Bhupesh Paikra
A truly talented 5 star video editing digital illustrator hailing from India, Bhupesh made a staple mark in this sketch show from the first collab in episode 2 "Haus of Treats." Bhupesh provided 2D animation and 2D character animation that surpassed all levels of expectation. He transformed our video clips into super accurate and realistic rotoscope animations that made Two The Streets feel multi-dimensional. He worked on all episodes starting from episode 2 and even worked off videos that our other animators left off on. Bhupesh helped make the lasers in episode 3 come to life with smoke fuming from them and added unique textures to his rotoscope animations that made them still feel realistic.
Renato Pontis
Renato hopped on board from the very first rotoscope clip you see in this project up until the last few minutes of the last episode. Renato is an expert illustrator, logo designer, and video editor. Renato is an advanced adobe photoshop illustrator and can make the most realistic 3D character drawings, he also displayed a graphic novelty in the 5th episode "Hampton Vice" with rotoscoping the helicopter and creating a comic book style crash sequence.
Manjhee
Manjhee worked on episode 2 "Haus of Treats" and episode 6 "A Dame To Die For" specifically rotoscoping characters in 2D that would add to the overall "trippyness" of the scene. Manjhee has a team of multimedia like- 2D animation production based out of India with 6+ years of experience. Manjhee is an efficient graphics designer, adobe illustrator expert, photo editor, video editor, and adobe premiere pro expert.
Dave N.
Dave helped us create this Two The Streets Universe when using his magic to create the magic van in episode 1 "Magic Van, Man. This helped capture the audiences attention by establishing the Two The Streets Universe and all of its crazy characters including the environment and objects within it. Dave also worked on episodes 4 - "Comedy Fight Club" and 7 - "Save The Streets" with tremendous accuracy and precision of capturing the background actors and eyes. He is an expert on video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. Mastering motion and visual effects while compositing 2D and 3D animation was the specific reason we decided to bring Dave on the Two The Streets team. We also used 8-bit designs to help establish the variety of animation we could use to build within the Two The Streets Universe.
Adiel Kay
A lover, an artist, a generational icon really. Co-creator of Two The Streets but really the mastermind of his destiny. Adiel Kay paved the way for open mic comedians to explore their true potential... by giving up comedy. Adiel Kay actually wrote this bio off of his beard because of its structural integrity. Adiel Kay needs no introduction....which is why this is at the very end of the page. If I were to tell you the rest of Adiel Kay's accomplishments...it would just make you sad. The level of achievement Adiel Kay has achieved far surpasses any amount of success anyone has ever strived for. There is no I in team... but there is an I in Adiel. When you read this you might think to yourself how did he get away with this... Adiel planned for you to read this just so you could shit yourself by the mere fact that he already thought about it.
Isaiah Mueller
