LTH PTO Needs You! Join the Board & Keep the Legacy Going
Dear LTH Families,
As we look ahead to the 2025-2026 school year, we are seeking dedicated family members to join the LTH PTO Board. With current board members transitioning out as their children move on, it’s crucial to keep the PTO active for the students and families of Troy-Gilbert Elementary School. This PTO will transition with students when the new school is ready for enrollment in 2026-2027, ensuring continuity and support.
All four board positions are open (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary), and there are plenty of ways to get involved without holding a board position. Many volunteer roles are flexible, allowing you to contribute remotely and on your schedule.
The LTH PTO is already a fully established 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization, complete with an active bank account, revenue streams, a website, social media presence, and a rich history of fundraising, events, and teacher support. You won’t have to start from scratch—just build upon the strong foundation already in place!
By joining now, you’ll be able to work alongside current board members and ensure a smooth transition for the 2025-2026 school year.

Once a month on Fridays, we bring some yummy treats for students to purchase before school. They love these Fun Food Fridays and to quickly serve students, we need help from our volunteers.

Join the PTO and school administrators for conversations regarding upcoming events, student needs, and ways to support teachers. Meetings are in-person and open to all parents, student caregivers, teachers, and staff.

There are various ways to support and donate to the LTH PTO ranging from volunteering your time, and money, and supporting our events. We thank you and appreciate any amount of time or monetary donations you can contribute.

As the Parent Teacher Organization supporting L. Thomas Heck, our mission is to assist our students, staff, and community in the pursuit of academic achievement and personal success to make every child’s potential a reality. We do this by fundraising, accepting donations, and deciding how the funds we raise are best spent to achieve our mission. Usually, we supply student incentives, classroom supplies, staff incentives, and community outreach programs. We help promote communications with staff, parents, and students, strengthening connections with our school family.
The LTH PTO does not require membership fees to join, participate, or donate. We look forward to an exciting year of supporting our parents, teachers, and students through community involvement and a whole lot of fun! We would love to have your input and help.
