SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATION
Students should submit a completed application with:
an essay (see topic below)
a transcript
three letters of recommendation
The letters of recommendation must come from:
1) a coach
2) a religious leader, religious education coordinator, or youth ministry leader who can attest to the applicant's involvement in his/her religion
3) a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal.
ESSAY TOPIC:
In your own words, state why the Scholarship Committee should consider you for the Lt. Paul J. Sullivan Scholarship Award. How do you think you exemplify what Paul stood for?
This essay will be an important part of your application and should not be your college application essay.
Include in your essay any special, personal, or family circumstances the Scholarship Committee should know.
All applications submitted by Thursday, April 17, 2025 will be reviewed and those qualified will be interviewed. From these interviews, several finalists will be chosen. One Paul J. Sullivan Scholarship winner will be awarded a scholarship, and other finalists will each receive a scholarship award as well. These will be presented at a reception on May 18, 2025. In 2024, a total of $32,000 was awarded to 10 students.
