SOURCE NOTES

<1> The Wayback Machine's 06/08/2019 archive of the University of Adelaide's eBooks@Adelaide. On Jan 7, 2020 the University of Adelaide announced in a post on their online library website that it was officially closed. There was no reason given. See this MobileRead forum for a discussion. Fortunately, the Internet Archive's 'Wayback Machine' has not only kept an archive of the webpages but also the downloadable files which are referenced here. Wayback Machine links are used here.

<2> These are usually based on Volume II, Series I of The Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, which according to WikiSource was "a set of books containing translations of early Christian writings into English. It was published in 1885. Like the Ante-Nicene Fathers series it was produced by pirating earlier translations commissioned and issued in the United Kingdom, often by the Edinburgh firm of T. & T. Clark, but also using material from the Oxford Movement series of the Library of the Fathers." Evidently this charge of pirating comes from an earlier Wikipedia article which has since been toned down to take that word out.
