The mission of the LSSTI Library is to foster the development of information literate students who are effective users of ideas and information and become lifelong independent learners.
The LSSTI Library is at the heart of providing resources, programs, learning opportunities, and support for the academic and personal interests of the students
The LSSTI Library offers open access to students and the school librarians collaboratively plan with teachers to formulate student centered, resource-based learning activities that support the curriculum and promote recreational reading.
The goal of the LSSTI Library is to provide the best possible access to relevant information and to promote a love for reading that will develop an appreciation for books to become information literate and effective life-long readers.
The primary objectives of the library are to provide a source for the essential knowledge and information needed to support the academic programs and activities of the institution as it strives to achieve the goals of the institution.
Specific Objectives
1. Provide the pupils, students, faculty, staff and administrators with well-chosen and well-organized collection of books, periodicals and other instructional materials.
2. Teach skills in the effective and independent use of the library and its materials and facilities.
3. Maintain an efficient and up-to-date collection that caters to the needs of the pupils, students and faculty.
4. Promote and encourage reading not only for classroom work but also for personal enjoyment, growth and development.
5. Participate in the achievement of over-all goal of the school to provide education to its clientele.
6. Participate in the local and regional levels cooperative effort/resource sharing to promote knowledge instruction and research.
