We are excited to announce an all-day workshop this April, focused entirely on preparing for and exploiting the unprecedented data streams from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST). This event is designed to connect everyone and share research ideas related to the time-domain astronomy revolution.
The preliminary schedule highlights include:
Keynote Presentation: An inspiring talk at the start of the day to set the scientific stage for LSST Time-Domain science.
Focused Discussion: Breakout sessions will form the core of the day's program, designed for in-depth, hands-on engagement on specific topics like transient classification, alert pipelines, and variable source science in the LSST era.
Networking Opportunities: Dedicated time for a morning social/breakfast and complimentary lunch boxes will be provided.
Group Reporting Session: An end-of-day plenary where each breakout group will summarize and report their discussion findings and key takeaways related to LSST Time-Domain preparedness.
