For this editing project, my goal was to simulate a professional editing workflow, working from a script with multiple takes for each scene. This process closely mirrored real-world editing tasks, where an editor must sift through extensive raw footage to assemble a coherent narrative. I focused on selecting the best takes, maintaining continuity, and adhering to the script’s vision while adding my creative input.
For this project, I edited a short promo video using footage provided by my professor, designed to emulate the process of professional promotional editing. The focus was on creating a compelling, visually engaging narrative within a concise runtime. In addition to assembling the footage, I dedicated significant attention to color grading, enhancing the visual appeal and ensuring a cohesive aesthetic that aligned with the promotional tone.
