Year Plan 2023
Objectives:
To provide basic research training to undergraduate students in the field of life sciences and to enhance their scientific skills through practical training and IT training related to research.
Step 1: Basic Research Learning
Introduce students to the basic principles and concepts of research in the life sciences.
Provide students with an understanding of the research process, including hypothesis development, experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
Teach students how to use basic laboratory equipment and techniques.
Provide hands-on training to students in the laboratory, including conducting simple experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting results.
Step 2: Scientific Paper Writing
Introduce students to the structure and components of a scientific paper.
Teach students how to write a scientific paper, including developing a clear research question, conducting a literature review, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.
Provide students with feedback on their writing and help them to refine their scientific writing skills.
Step 3: IT Training Related to Research
Introduce students to basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, and data visualization.
Provide students with training on scientific software packages, such as R and MATLAB.
Teach students how to use online resources for research, such as databases and search engines.
Provide training on data analysis, including statistical methods and graphing techniques.
Step 4: Practical Research Experience
Provide students with opportunities to participate in ongoing research projects in the life sciences (If Possible).
Encourage students to develop their own research projects and provide guidance and support throughout the research process.
