Lyceum of St. Dominic Inc.’s Experiential Learning Modules are divided and presented into seven units that correspond to the learning domains of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST). The activities and artifacts for each module follow the LSDI model which was locally developed and adapted by the College of Education for the FS 1, FS 2, and Internship purposes.
The LSDI Model is an acronym for the flow of activities to facilitate the completion of reports on the said field study courses. Thus, it is comprised of the following parts: Learning Targets Activation, Searching for Evidence, Deepening Understanding through Reflections, and Igniting Commitment.
A. Learning Targets Activation
Domain 7 focuses on teachers’ personal growth and professional development. It accentuates teachers’ proper and high personal regard for the profession by maintaining qualities that uphold the dignity of teaching such as caring attitude, respect and integrity. This Domain values personal and professional reflection and learning to improve practice. It recognizes the importance of teachers’ assuming responsibility for personal growth and professional development for lifelong learning.

B and C. Searching for Evidence & Deepening Understanding through Reflections
Domain 7 Strand 1 - PHILOSOPHY OF TEACHING
My TEACHING PHILOSOPHY circles around the learner-centered approaches in the actual teaching and learning addressing the goals of developing critical and creative thinking among my learners. As I perceived myself as a human-mind engineer, I believe that I should adhere to contextualization of instructional materials and learning opportunities for better learning outcomes. My ultimate goal is to create and sustain classhome environment that responds to the needs of time with respect to my learners' interests, needs, and skills.
Domain 7 Strand 2 - DIGNITY OF TEACHING AS A PROFESSION
As a future educator, I believe this strand entails me to reflect on the dignity of teaching profession---which is my dream profession. I dreamt of being a teacher and by doing so, I believe I need to embody attitudes and traits that are worth emulating.
As PST, I believe that I need to be a future teacher who values the goodness in every learner. A teacher who sees worth in every learner. A teacher who creates and motivates dreams for learners. A teacher who supports and stands by the learners.
In the end, I have to be a teacher who has high regard for my profession itself---teaching being regarded as the most noble profession.
Domain 7 Strand 3 PROFESSIONAL LINKS WITH COLLEAGUES
It's collaborative expertise time!
Taking time to discuss what went well and what needs to be improved for better learning outcomes.
Domain 7 Strand 4 - PROFESSIONAL REFLECTION AND LEARNING TO IMPROVE PRACTICE
Journal at its finest!
As part of my reflective practice to improve learning practice, I used to write journals that reflected my daily experiences and activities. I highlighted significant experiences that led me to better understanding of my learners, my cooperating teachers, the strategies and techniques that I utilized, and the methods that I have implemented.
I realized how important reflective journals are in making a well-prepared set of actions for better learning outcomes.
Domain 7 Strand 5 - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS
As PST, I have these goals and professional development plans in mind:
Graduating with flying colors
Reviewing for LET under a trusted Review Center (CBRC)
Passing or Topping the Board Exam
Applying for Teaching Positions
Completing Graduate Studies (Masters and Doctorate in Early Childhood Education)
Attending Professional development Activities / Continuing Professional Education
D. IGNITING COMMITMENT
“You need to have unbound enthusiasm for what you’re building. Energy is contagious, so your team and everyone you interact with feels it.” — Tyler Haney
