Becoming an officiator is both a great honor and a big responsibility. Officiators play a meaningful role in bringing couples together in marriage and ensuring each ceremony is conducted with dignity, sincerity, and care.
While anyone is welcome to apply, officiator appointments are limited and carefully considered. Every application is reviewed directly by members of the judiciary to ensure that only individuals who demonstrate commitment, integrity, and reliability are selected. This role is best suited for those who take joy in helping others mark one of life’s most important moments, are well spoken and knows the importance of the legal paperwork.
All officiators receive guidance and instruction covering the legal aspects of the position, so no prior experience is required. Once your application has been accepted, you will be asked to officiate two weddings under supervision, each witnessed by a judge. Upon successful completion, you will be formally approved as an officiator.
