2022 LSCOCC Fall Winter Event Schedule & Warning
Before I carry on… I just had another distress call along the lines of,
“I had a virus warning pop up and I called the Apple phone number on the screen”.
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT call any numbers purporting to be from Microsoft or Apple claiming to fix the multiple problems on your device!! These are SCAMS!
I’ve contacted the library re: doing a presentation on available digital services, and waiting for more details..
2022 LSCOCC Tentative Fall Winter Schedule
We have more planning sessions coming up during which we can flesh out the content of the workshops.
There are a number of suggestions we’ve discussed in earlier gatherings, we haven’t forgotten them,
ie. Android tablets, using the Google Suite of apps, and perhaps some morning sessions.
Note:The LSCO Computer Club has access to the computer lab on Mondays and Wednesdays from
1 – 4:30 pm. This time may be pre-empted for other events or holidays.
These are low key sharing events geared for seniors interested in learning more about computer technology and how to use it. We are here to help.
Unless otherwise stated Workshop events will run from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. These don't usually take up the entire time slot.
The first and last Mondays of the month are designated as updates and Planning sessions. If time allows, we will also be able to help members with their computer concerns.
We've scheduled 2 workshops per month to run on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. If more people are prepared to run a workshop we may offer more.
If there are topics you would like us to present. PLEASE let us know.
NB. Mondays and Wednesdays not on the schedule are open for club member use.
There is no guarantee that a club member will be present on any given sharing day.
Send an email to computerclub@lethseniors.com with a preferred date if you want help.

Help Sessions:
If you want one on one help for a specific problem or something you’d like to learn, please email computerclub@lethseniors.com giving a date and time and what you’d like help with. The more detail you can give the more likely it will be that you get some beneficial help.
We’ll try to hook you up with someone who will be able to help you in the lab. This service is available to Computer Club members only.
Our members have different levels of expertise and areas of knowledge. Complicated problems may be better solved by going to a qualified computer technician.
Remember the earlier your notice and the more detail you can provide the more likely you are to get help. Any open dates and times can be used for one on one help or a workshop as long as the session is pre-arranged.
Email computerclub@lethseniors.com to be added to the email list or to ask for help from the computer club.
