Why the LRMS Was Created?
The Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) was created to address gaps in the availability, quality, and distribution of learning materials across Philippine schools. Baseline studies revealed uneven access to resources in major subject areas, prompting DepEd to establish a system that evaluates, acquires, produces, and disseminates quality instructional materials to support teachers and learners.
Operating at regional, division, and school levels, the LRMS ensures that learning resources are accessible, high‑quality, and aligned with curriculum goals. It focuses on material development, digitization, quality assurance, and professional support for teachers to improve overall curriculum delivery and learning outcomes.
