PTO PARTICIPATION LEVELS
PTO BOARD MEMBER
A PTO Board Member is the highest level of participation. Board Members may hold an office on the board: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer or a Coordinator position. Board Members commit to attend one PTO meeting a monthly, have the ability to vote on board business, such as fundraising and event activities. Board Members are required to become a Designated Volunteer with the district.
DESIGNATED VOLUNTEER
A Designated Volunteer may support multiple events throughout the school year. Designated Volunteers provide support for special in-school events, such as Picture Day and Book Fairs, classroom and copy/print services for teachers and staff, and may be asked to chaperone field trips.
EVENT VOLUNTEER
An Event Volunteer supports no more than two events during the school year, to include in-school and after-school volunteer opportunities.
*More than two events will require Designated Volunteer status.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Fundraising participation, Bake Sale contributions, BoxTops for Education app, EcoSmith Clothing Recycling Bin donations.
