To act as a learning resource center by providing interesting resource materials and quality library and information services to the learners, faculty and other members of HSS community.

To continually assess the competence of personnel, the effectiveness of the library and information system and the relevance of its administration policies and procedures.

To select and acquire library materials to support all academic and concerns of the school;
To prepare these materials for use through cataloging, classification, indexing and preservation;
To guide students in their choice of books and other instructional materials for personal and curricular purposes;
To foster love for books and to develop a wide range of significant interest in the proper use of books and other instructional materials;
To motivate in every possible way the formation of a lifetime habit of reading much and reading well;
To encourage reading on the part of the Students, Faculty and Staff for personal and professional growth and for enjoyment;
To encourage social attitudes and provide experience in gracious, well-balanced and democratic living;
To work cooperatively and constructively with the instructional and administrative staff of the school.
