LPLTC was awarded the 2022 Bee Grant from the Bee Cause Project! This allowed for the school to build an indoor observation beehive.
The bees were donated by the Louisiana Beekeeper Association.

π» Pollinator Garden π»
The LPLTC Gardening Club is working on maintaining several raised-bed gardens donated by Stines Hardward in Walker, Louisiana. The club has partnered with the Master Gardener Class at Southeastern Louisiana University and LSU Agriculture for garden education. One garden bed is a designated pollinator garden. These sunflowers were planted by students at the conclusion of the 21-22 school year and began blooming at the start of the 22-23 school year. Students will harvest the seeds and begin the planting process over again.
