I'm from a tiny town in western Maine which is very beautiful and in which there is very little math. I did my undergraduate at Boston College where I learned that thinking about three and four-manifolds is the most fun thing I can do with my time. Then I spent 6 years at UT Austin thinking about three and four-manifolds.

Some other fun things I like to do with my time include bouldering, gardening, life drawing, and eating tacos. If anyone can tell me where in Boston to get tacos, or even just decent tortillas, I will be forever grateful.
