Our jewelry is solid. In other words, it is not merely a layer of silver on top of a less expensive material. Some jewelry is often made with silver plating, where a layer of silver thinner than your hair is electrically bonded to a cheaper metal like steel.

Sterling means that our jewelry is 92.5% pure silver. The remaining 7.5% is copper, to make the jewelry more durable. Jewelry made with less pure silver is more likely to tarnish and irritate sensitive skin.

Solid sterling silver has been used for thousands of years to make jewelry, coins, eating utensils, and even surgical instruments. Our jewelry is the same type of material as the famous American craftsman Paul Revere used.
