Atoms+ Lab
Welcome to Atoms+ Lab at IIT Bhubaneswar. Our research interests are in the area of Experimental Solid State Physics, particularly two-dimensional materials, topological phases of materials, energy materials, Low-Temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM), non-contact Atomic Force Microscopy (nc-AFM) and devices. Currently, we are involved in:
2D TMDs and heterostructures
Neuromorphic devices
Energy materials
Recently:
We demonstrate synthesis of a monolayer of charge-transfer complex (CTC) of TTF and F4TCNQ molecules on oxygen intercalated graphene. Through low-temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Spectroscopy (STM/STS), we demonstrate charge transfer from TTF molecules to F4TCNQ molecules and high-resolution spectroscopy reveals a gap at the Fermi energy which is attributed to the formation of a correlated ground state.
