Copa Airlines' pet travel policy

●     You cannot travel with pets in the business class.

●     If your flight is to or from Armenia, Fort Lauderdale or Tampa, you cannot travel on the weekends as the quarantine offices are not operational on these days. For other destinations, there are no restrictions on the days of travel.

●     Only one pet is allowed per passenger.

●     If you need to travel with a pet and an emotional support animal, you have to book the pet to be transported via Copa pet services.

●     Children below the age of 11 years and unaccompanied minors cannot travel with pets.

●     The pet should be at least 4 months old as per the Copa Airlines pet travel policy and it has to be in a container with the passenger.

●     If the pet is aggressive or has a strong smell, it will on be allowed.

●     The pet and the container should not weigh more than 20 pounds together.

●     Service dogs are allowed on all the routes, whereas emotional support dogs are only allowed in countries like Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico. These dogs may or may not be required to be in a container.

Container requirements:

● The container must be sturdy, soft-sided and ventilated properly.

● It must be big enough to allow natural movement like standing, turning around and sitting.

● The maximum height, length and width of the container must not be more than 11 inches, 18 inches, and 11 inches, respectively.

● Customers with pets cannot book the front row seats, seats facing the bulkhead and the emergency exit row seats.

● During the security screening, you will be required to handle your pet and cooperate.

● The pet must not be seated on a seat. They have to be inside the container throughout the flight and placed in front of the passenger.
