Problem Statement
From a very long-time large number of women are held back due to dysmenorrhea (medical term for painful periods). In 10 out of 100 women the pain is so bad that they're unable to carry out their daily activities on one to three days every month. The pain affects their schedule as they are unable to attend school/work and participate in sports or other activities and thus experience additional emotional distress. Although dysmenorrhea is not life threatening, it has a profound negative impact on their daily life.
