Greenway Trail

Easy - 2.9 mi

Perfect for walkers, joggers, and nature enthusiasts, the trail offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of the town while conveniently accessible just 10 minutes from the Inn.

Price Lake

Easy - 2.2 mi

A serene and picturesque walking trail encircling nearby Price Lake. Take in the views with this easy, relaxing trail.

Cascade Falls

Easy - 1 mi

The cascading water and lush greens at Cascade Falls make this a popular destination, with options for more extensive hiking or a simple 1-mile walking loop. The site contains picnic tables and access to Tompkins Knob overlook!

Elk Knob

Moderate - 3.8 mi

The Summit Trail at Elk Knob State Park is beautifully maintained and has a gorgeous payoff at the summit! The beginning of this trail is a bit steep, but mellows out to a moderately easy hike.

Boone Fork Trail

Moderate - 4.8 mi

A very popular area for hiking and running, you'll likely run into many outdoors enthusiasts on the Boone Fork Trail. Be aware that there are several minor water crossings on this trail.

Rocky Knob

Mountain Bike Park - Varying lengths and difficulties

This exhilarating mountain biking park contains several winding and varying trail options. There is also a lovely playground for the kids! READ the safety protocol signage before beginning your excursion!

Beacon Heights Overlook

Moderate - 0.6 mi

This short but slightly steep trail has the most stunning view at its summit. Take in the vastness of Beacon Heights Overlook at this Innkeeper Favorite!

Rough Ridge via Tanawha Trail

Moderately Challenging - 4.7 mi

This iconic trail is a memorable stamp in the hiking enthusiast's passport! Famous for its breathtaking views and the exciting challenge it presents, Rough Ridge is sure to impress.

Daniel Boone Native Gardens

This tranquil walking opportunity is vibrant, charming, and a wonderful way to experience the native plants of the High Country. With over 200 species on premises, guests can enjoy a progression of blooms year round - weather permitting!
