Hello, it's me, and these are the answers for my 1,500 subscriber AMA. Sorry for the delay, and if the answers in text format annoy you a lot, please leave feedback.
All the questions are sic and can be found on the original video page.
> If you'd be in a PIF Productions Company, which PIF would you think be the most creative to make?
That's an interesting question and quite hard to answer. I'm not in the advertising industry, I'm a PIF-watcher and not a PIF-maker. We need to raise more awareness about climate change and equality, and we will always need PIFs because people are stupid, but I have no idea how to execute a PIF regarding any of the subjects I mentioned. Sorry!
> Have you gotten into watching other PIF/PSA YouTuber's webseries? I was always partial to Sapphirebluegirl's PIF Talk myself.
Yes! I love PIF Talk myself too, and sapphirebluegirl is amazing. Easportsbig899's Top 10s and Peachy's PIF Reviews – both those people rock, too, by the way –are what got me into this mess of a fandom, and I'll be eternally grateful for that.
> What was the hardest to watch PIF/PSA for you emotionally? For me it was a fox hunting one.
Ermmm... i'd say it's the one about human trafficking one, there's just something about it that gets me every time. Fragile Childhood PIFs also sometimes deliver real gut-punches as well.
> Have you ever come to Thailand before?
Nope. I'd love to visit Thailand, like many other countries in the world, but so far I've travelled little and it seems that it'll take a lot of time until we'll be travelling again. Not wanting to fly also complicates things a bit... :/
> What got you into watching PIFs and making this channel?
I think the very first thing that got me into this mess was a PSA video by Gabby the Clown, and after that I discovered Peachy and easportsbig899. Of course, I had been interested in public interest adverts from my own country long before that.
> when is your 1st radio PSA and PIF did you start on your channel
I'm not sure I know what you mean. I uploaded my very first radio PIF compilation in 2018, if that's what you're asking.
> What would you say is your best moment of 2020?
Four days I spent with my best friends in an unknown city. It's a long story, but let's just mention I hung out with unknown, foreign people in a park and sang songs with them until 3 AM...
> What's the first PIF you remember seeing on TV?
Short answer: must be this one.
> Are any PSA topics off limits for you?
No! Every topic is welcome and appreciated, and I'm discovering new types of PIFs every year.
> What made you decide to put up the PIF on YouTube?
Which PIF? In case you do not mean an individual PIF but my entire channel, see the answer above.
> Also, have you learn something when in the military that could serve in the daily live or it was just a waste of time? Was it a good experience? Sorry about the tone and if that's too personnal.
Don't worry about it – it's an ask-me-anything, after all. I was a scribe in the military, which is a fancy way of saying I did a lot of paperwork and made sure a lot of technical stuff worked. I got an easy task, but I liked it much more than I would've liked anything more physical – lol. So, I learnt how to make fancy Excel charts, that's the main thing.
> What's your favorite country?
I love the other Nordic countries just because they have a very similar mindset than us Finns do – but if it had to be outside of Europe and close proximity, it'd be New Zealand. Beautiful nature, friendly people.
> Why did you make your channel about PIF's?
My channel is all about PIFs, because they're an important hobby of mine and it's one of the few subjects I could make YouTube videos about. If you're, however, asking why I started my channel, see above.
> Are there any PSAs/PIFs that you love that everyone hates, and vice versa?
Hard to say. I know the public opinion around Think! isn't that good, but the fairly recent anti-drug driving one ("Lights") isn't too bad, even though some people do dislike it.
> Since everyone's asking about PIF/PSA, I'm going to ask something different. What are some of your interest outside of PIF/PSA?
Thank you for your question! Starting next fall, I'll be studying languages in university with a major in Swedish. I've always been interested in them. My other passion is music: I enjoy listening to music, writing music, singing, etc.
> Are there any PIFs or PSAs that are very old but are relevant even now and you wish they would be brought back today?
Some types of PIFs are obsolete for a reason, like the 'old fridges can kill' one, but I wish children were still educated about the dangers of lonely waters, even though we won't be able to have Donald Pleasence voicing it. :(
> Are there any American psas/pifs you like or hate?
My favourite from across the pond must be Partnership for a Drug-Free America. Some of their PSAs are good, some are bad, but whether you like them or not, they're a brilliant view on America's take on drugs. They portray the war on drugs and 1980s attitudes towards drugs very well. Their current remainder, Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, hasn't made much of an impression to me, though.
> Alright so what are your thoughts on the Scottish PIF photograph?
It's a legendary PIF, and fairly unsettling. I wouldn't say it's the scariest one out there, though, but it's a very good example of a well-made British PIF (although there were so many more good ones from the same era anyway...)
